Cántaro Institute Acquires Wellandport Campus

PRESS RELEASE

Jordan Station, DECEMBER 22, 2025 — The Cántaro Institute is pleased to announce, thanks to a most generous donor, the acquisition of a prominent multi-building campus in Wellandport, Ontario. This strategic development represents a decisive step forward in the Institute’s mission to advance a fully integrated Christian world-and-life view across church, culture, and public life.

Situated in the heart of the Niagara region, the newly acquired property, 6726 & 6727 S. Chippawa Rd.—formerly known as the Robert Land Academy—will be developed and stewarded as a multi-ministry campus dedicated to Christian scholarship, cultural engagement, mercy, and institutional collaboration. The site will be known as Worldview Campus.

At a time when Christians across the Americas face growing religious confusion, syncretism, and cultural fragmentation, Worldview Campus is being established as a place of clarity, coherence, and faithful formation. This property stands as the physical expression of our philosophical and theological conviction: that a fully integrated Christian world-and-life view must take visible and organized form. Accordingly, Worldview Campus will function as a living demonstration of that conviction—a community of distinct yet unified ministries working together to serve churches, families, youth, children, leaders, and the wider culture under the lordship of Jesus Christ.

“This acquisition allows us to root our work in a permanent place of service for the Kingdom of God,” said Steven R. Martins, Executive Director of the Cántaro Institute. “It gives us the space to bring together theological education, publishing, mentoring, mercy, and cultural engagement in a way that reflects the fullness of Christ’s lordship over all of life.”

The Paideia Study Center: Intellectual Anchor of the Campus

Central to the Worldview Campus vision is the establishment of the Paideia Study Center, which will serve as the theological, philosophical, publishing, and worldview formation hub of the campus. Rooted in Reformational scholarship and Protestant orthodoxy, the Study Center will support:

      • A specialized theological and worldview library
      • Classrooms and lecture halls
      • A media studio for podcasts and online education
      • Publishing and research operations
      • Mentoring, discipleship, and leadership development

The Paideia Study Center will equip Christians to think biblically, live faithfully, resist religious syncretism, and apply the truth of Scripture to every sphere of life—family, education, vocation, culture, and public life.

A Collaborative Multi-Charity Campus

Worldview Campus is designed as a shared institutional ecosystem, where like-minded Christian charities operate together in principled cooperation. Among the first partner ministries to take up residence on campus will be Rose City Kids, a Christian charity serving children and families across the Niagara region through Christ-centred mentorship, education, and care.

“We are thrilled to welcome Rose City Kids as one of our first partners,” Martins added. “Their work embodies the very fruitfulness we envision for this campus—where education, compassion, and the gospel intersect to bless our communities.”

The expansive property includes academic buildings, dormitory space, a gymnasium, workshop areas, and open grounds well suited for:

      • Public lectures and worldview training
      • Youth programs, camps, and retreats
      • Conferences and cultural events
      • Ministry collaboration and leadership development
      • Skilled trades and hands-on training (including woodworking and pottery)
      • Children and youth outreach programs, including sports, recreation, and mentorship
      • Museum-style educational exhibits, in partnership with Answers in Genesis Canada
      • And much more.

A Long-Term Vision for Church and Culture

Worldview Campus is not simply a facility—it is the foundation for a long-term institutional strategy aimed at strengthening the church and renewing Christian witness in culture.

“This is where education and mercy meet,” Martins said. “It is where Christian formation is given institutional depth, and where the next generation is equipped to live faithfully under Christ in every area of life.”

Renovation and phased development are already underway, with additional ministry partnerships, programs, and public initiatives to be announced throughout 2026.
