Steven R. Martins, M.T.S.
Founding Director

Steven R. Martins is the founding director of the Cántaro Institute and founding pastor of Sevilla Chapel in St. Catharines. A second-generation Canadian, Steven is of Iberoamerican parentage and has worked in the fields of missional apologetics and church leadership for over ten years. He has spoken at numerous conferences, churches, and University student events, from York University, Toronto, to the University of West Indies in Port of Spain, Trinidad, and the national Universities of Costa Rica (UNCR and UNC). He is the author of several books, including Apologetics: Studies in Biblical Apologetics for a Christian Worldview, and is the Series Editor for the Celebration of Faith Series. He has also contributed articles to Coalición por el Evangelio and the Siglo XXI journal of Editorial CLIR.

Steven holds a Master’s degree summa cum laude in Theological Studies with a focus on Christian apologetics from Veritas International University (Santa Ana, CA., USA) and a Bachelor of Human Resource Management from York University (Toronto, ON., Canada). Steven presently serves on the executive board for Answers in Genesis Canada, serves as the Project Manager of Paideia Press, and has served in the past with the Ezra Institute for Contemporary Christianity (EICC). Steven is married to Cindy and they live in Jordan Station, Ontario, with their sons Matthias, Timothy, and Nehemías.

Daniel J. Lobo 
Co-Founding Director
Associate for Reformation History & Theology, Editorial CLIR

Daniel J. Lobo is professor at the Seminario Teológico Reformado Farel, where he teaches courses on Systematic Theology, Practical Theology, Philosophy and Christian Thought. He studied English Teaching at the Distant State University (CR) and Translation in the Universidad Latinoamericana de Ciencia y Tecnología (CR). Afterwards, he obtained his Bachelor of Liberal Arts (BA) in Theological Studies from Miami International Seminary, where he is currently pursuing a Master’s degree. He works as the Chief Translator and General Editor for the Confraternidad Latinoamericana de Iglesias Reformadas (CLIR), where he is also a writer and speaker. He was one of the editors of the Spanish Reformation Study Bible, and continues to work as an editor with Ligonier Ministries. He also serves as a music writer and translator and has consulted in this capacity for projects from Lifeway Worship, The Master’s Seminary, Los Getty en español, Sovereign Grace Music, among others. He is an ordained Elder of the Iglesia Presbiteriana y Reformada Pacto de Gracia. He lives in San José, Costa Rica, with his beautiful wife Natalia and their children Mateo and Idelette.

Liam Wilson
Board Director

Liam Wilson lives in Niagara, Canada with his lovely wife Ulissa and is a pastor at Pony Church. After completing undergraduate business studies in Canada and in France, he entered seminary where he is now pursuing a Master of Divinity at Heritage Theological Seminary. He loves teaching the Word to God’s people and sharing the gospel with those who do not know Jesus.

Andrew Mouck
Board Director

Andrew Mouck lives on a vineyard in the heart of Niagara’s wine country, serving at Pony Church in various capacities. After graduating from the business program at Wilfrid Laurier University and working various short-term opportunities in the financial sector in Toronto, he now finds himself back in the Niagara region working as a commercial banker. Andrew has a heart for evangelism, a passion for Christian literature, and a desire to see lives changed through the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Vishal Mangalwadi, M.A.
Associate for Biblical Worldview, Truth & Transformation

Vishal Mangalwadi is a social reformer, political columnist, Indian Christian philosopher, writer and lecturer. Born in Chhatarpur, M.P., India in 1949, Vishal studied philosophy at the Universities of Allahabad and Indore, then went on an intellectual pilgrimage to several ashrams to study Hinduism from some of its most influential exponents and spent six months in Switzerland studying under Christian apologist Francis Schaeffer. Vishal has been called “India’s foremost Christian intellectual” by Christianity Today and is now at the heart of a global movement of Christians seeking the renewal of the Church for the blessings of nations. He is the author of Truth and Transformation: A Manifesto for Ailing Nations (2009), The Book That Made Your World: How the Bible Created the Soul of Western Civilization (2013), as well as several other books. In the years leading up to the pandemic, a series of consultations based on Vishal’s work, particularly related to his vision for the church and internet-based higher education were held in India, Brazil, Colombia, Germany, Switzerland, Uganda, Kenya, Phoenix (AZ), and Seoul (S. Korea). Vishal and his wife Ruth presently travel the world conducting research and speaking at various functions.

Scott Masson, Ph.D.
Associate for Public Theology & Pedagogy, Tyndale University

Dr. Scott Masson is an Associate Professor of English Literature at Tyndale University in Toronto, Canada. He teaches on subjects ranging from the literature of the Graeco-Roman period, the Bible as literature, Shakespeare, Milton, Seventeenth-century literature, Romantic literature, the work of C.S. Lewis and and J.R.R. Tolkien, Science fiction, practical criticism, and Classical and contemporary literary theory. He was awarded his Degree of Doctor of Philosophy in 2001 from the University of Durham. Before that, he lived and studied in Düsseldorf, Germany for three years. While in Germany, he fell in love with languages, becoming a German translator while learning Classical Greek and Latin at university. Dr. Masson founded Westminster Classical Christian Academy in Toronto, and established and led a thriving College and Careers ministry in Toronto between 2008 and 2015, which managed to draw young people from all walks of life, and from all corners of the city. He is a proud husband and father of two and resides in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Josué Reichow
Associate for Reformational Philosophy, L’Abri Fellowship

Josué Reichow was born in Pelotas, Rio Grande do Sul, the southernmost state in Brazil. There he did his studies in the Social Sciences, with a particular interest in Sociology, and contemporary themes in social theory, with a specialization in modernity/postmodernity and critical theory. Between 2012 and 2014, Josué studied Philosophy (at Unisinos, a Jesuit University) and Theology (at Faculdades EST, a Lutheran School of Theology), where he studied the philosophy of Herman Dooyeweerd and his reception in the Brazilian context. He has taught theology, philosophy, and worldview in Theological Seminaries, and Sociology, Philosophy, and Religious Studies for High School students at Colégio Sinodal in the city of São Leopoldo. In 2016 Josué moved to the UK with his wife Lili to join the work of L’Abri, welcoming people from all over the world, cooking meals, gardening, facilitating discussions, and lecturing on a variety of themes, from the development of a Christian mindset, liturgy, films, to technology and transhumanism.

Nathan Díaz
Associate for Christian Theology and Media (LATAM), Fish Studios

Nathan Díaz serves as a pastor and teacher at the Iglesia Evangélica Cuajimalpa (Evangelical Church of Cuajimalpa) in Cuajimalpa, Mexico. He is also the radio producer of Clasificación A, video producer with The Charles Simeon Trust, and regular contributor and council member for the Coalición por el Evangelio (TGC).

Nathan studied radio production and theology at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, USA. He served as the program director of the WMCR station in Chicago and later the WBLR in Georgia before returning to Mexico to found Fish Studios. Nathan and his wife Cristin have three sons, Ian, Cael and Evan.

Javier Domínguez, M.Div., M.BA.
Associate for Public Theology & Christian Living (LATAM), Semper Reformanda

Javier Domínguez is president of the higher school of biblical and theological studies, Semper Reformanda, founding pastor of Iglesia Gracia Sobre Gracia, and president of the Fundación Véritas, an organization dedicated towards supporting the quality of education in El Salvador. In 1997 he founded the biblical academy for children, Vida Kids, serving to this date as president. With the vision of forming a critical mass of Christian thought that would influence Central America, in 2011 he founded, together with his wife, the Colegio Bilingüe Academia Cristiana Internacional, serving to this date as superintendent. In the year 2016 he also founded the ministry Regresando a la Palabra, with the objective of improving the health of the church in order that they may be centred in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In addition to all this, he also serves as a teacher for Charles Simeon Trust and Respuestas en Genesis in Latin America.

Javier holds two Master of Divinity degrees from the Andrew Jumper Presbyterian Post-Graduate Center of Sao Paolo, Brazil, and the Reformed Theology Seminary of the United States. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (BA) with a specialty in Strategic and Innovation Management from three-joint institutions, the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona, and la Universidad de Alicante (Spain). He also holds a degree in Theology and Pastoral Ministry from BEREA University (Seoul, Korea), a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology from the Reformed Theological College in New York, United States, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Business from the Escuela Superior de Economía y Negocios (ESEN) of El Salvador. He is currently completing his Doctorate in Ministry at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Kansas City, USA. Javier and his wife Geraldina de Domínguez have three children.

Adolfo García de la Sienra Guajardo, Ph.D.
Associate for Reformational Economics and Philosophy (LATAM), Universidad Veracruzana

Adolfo has been a research fellow at the Institute of Philosophical Research of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) (1986-1993); research fellow and professor of microeconomics at the Center for Teaching and Research of Economics (CIDE) (1993-1998); research fellow at the Philosophy Institute of the Veracruzana University since 2002, and professor of Microeconomics and Mathematical Economics at the Faculty of Economics of the same university since 1998. Dr. García de la Sienra has published more than one hundred papers and books in international journals and publishing houses. Beside a book on the logical foundations of the Marxian Theory of Value, and an anthology on the philosophy of religion, both published in the Netherlands, Dr. García de la Sienra has published A Structuralist Theory of Economics in the prestigious house Routledge of London. He is undoubtedly the most outstanding expert in Reformational philosophy in the Spanish-speaking world.

Joseph Owen 
Associate for Biblical Cosmology, Respuestas en Genesis

Joseph Owen is the director and chief-speaker of the Hispanic ministry of Respuestas en Genesis (Answers in Genesis). He has a Bachelor in Theology from the Seminario Bautista Dominicano (Dominican Baptist Seminary) and is currently working towards obtaining his Master’s degree in Christian Studies from Southeastern Theological Baptist Seminary. He teaches subjects relating to creationism in various seminaries and universities in Latin America and the USA, and serves as a professor and academic director of SEBAM seminary in Querétaro, Mexico. Joseph writes articles for periodicals and resource sites such as Esclavos, Soldados de Jesucristo, and Respuestas en Genesis. He has also contributed to the book World Religions and Cults Vol. 2 and co-authored with Ken Ham the book Una Sola Raza, Una Sola Sangre and Sola Scriptura: Autoridad Biblica en un Mundo Postmoderno
